Removing the hard drive tray

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. battery
   2. hard drive
   3. optical drive
   4. base cover
3. To remove the hard drive tray:
   1. Peel the adhesive tape [1].
   2. Lift the latch [2] and disconnect the hard drive cable from the connector [3].
   3. Lift the latch [4] and disconnect the system board cable from the connector [5].
   4. Remove the screws that secure the hard drive tray to the computer [6].
   5. Lift the hard drive tray away from the computer [7].
