Removing the M.2 SSD

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working with your computer.
  2. Remove the microSD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Dsiconnect the battery.

Steps

  1. Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secures the SSD to the palmrest [1].
  2. Slightly turn and remove the SSD support bracket from the M.2 SSD slot [2]. Remove the single (M2x2) screw that secures the M.2 SSD to the palmrest [1].

  3. Lift the M.2 SSD away from the computer and remove the SSD of the SSD thermal plate
    Remove SSD 1
