Removing the Display Assembly
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD Card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery.
About this task
The figure indicates the location of the LCD Assembly and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Remove the five M2.5x5 screws from both the hinges. Lift and fold the hinges backwards.
NOTE:Do not open the display assembly beyond 135 degrees to avoid damage to the display hinges.
- Peel back the adhesive tape covering the LCD cable.
- Fold the adhesive tape away from the LCD cable.
- Remove the LCD cable and lift it away from the computer.
- Move the system away from the LCD assembly.
