Removing the 4-cell battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the microSD card.
- Remove the base cover.
NOTE:If the battery is disconnected from system board, there is delay during computer boot as the computer undergoes RTC reset.

- Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
- Loosen the four captive screws that secure the battery to the computer.
- Lift the battery and remove the battery from the computer.
