Installing the WWAN card

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Installing the WWAN card

Steps

  1. Replace the WWAN card into its slot on the I/O board and connect the antennae cables.
  2. Replace the WWAN shielding cover on top of the WWAN card.
    NOTE:For models shipped with WWAN antennas, the WWAN antenna connections on the WWAN card are numbered and color-coded. Connect the antennas to the correct pins on the WWAN card in accordance with the label on the WWAN card shielding cover.

  3. Replace the WWAN bracket on top of the antennae cables.
  4. Replace the single M2x2.5 screw securing it to the I/O board.
    NOTE:System will be reboot 2-3 times automatically within 1 min, after SSD/ WWAN card and battery cable is re-connected.

  3. RTC reset cycle
  4. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
