Installing the smart card reader
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the smart card reader and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Replace the smart card reader into its slot on the palmrest assembly.
- Adhere the smart card cable, routing it on the palmrest assembly.
- Connect the smart card reader cable to the USH board.
- Route the touchpad cable from over the smart card reader cable and connect it to the system board.
