Removing Embedded Multimedia Card assembly

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. microSD card
    2. base cover
    3. battery
  3. Disconnect the interposer cable from the system board, remove the M2.0L3 screws that secure the bracket to the chassis and gently lift the embedded multimedia card (eMMC) out.
    Disconnect the interposer cable from the system board.
  4. Disconnect the hard drive interposer from the eMM card.
    Disconnect the hard drive interposer from the eMM card.
  5. Flip the hard drive bracket, remove the screws (M2.0) and take out the eMM card from the bracket.
    Remove the eMM card from the bracket.
