- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the I/O board.

- Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the power button with optional fingerprint reader to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Peel off the fingerprint reader flexible printed circuits from the connector on the power button.
- Remove the power button with optional fingerprint reader from the slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
