Removing the battery

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. MicroSD card
    2. base cover
  3. To remove the battery:
    1. Lift the ribbon and disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Remove the M2.0 x 4L screws that secure the battery to the computer [2].
    3. Lift the battery from the computer [3].
