Removing heatsink assembly

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. To remove the heat sink assembly:
    1. Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Remove the M2*3 screws that secure the heat sink assembly on the system board [2].

      NOTE: The WLAN cables need to be moved aside to access one of the heat sink assembly screws.

    3. Lift the heat sink assembly away from the system board.
