Replacing palm rest

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. keyboard
    4. system board
    5. Solid State Drive card
    6. audio
    7. power connector
    8. coin cell battery
    9. speaker
    10. display assembly
    NOTE
    Touchpad is not a standalone component and is assembled along with the palm rest.
    NOTE The component you are left with is the palm rest.
    Removing palm rest
  3. Install the following components on the new palm rest:
    1. display assembly
    2. speaker
    3. coin cell battery
    4. power connector
    5. audio
    6. keyboard
    7. system board
    8. SSD card
    9. battery
    10. base cover
  4. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
