PowerScale OneFS 9.9.0.0 CLI Administration Guide
Maintenance mode
When enabled, Maintenance Mode detects certain maintenance tasks and automatically starts a maintenance window that suppresses CELOG alerts while the mode is active.
Maintenance Mode has been updated, starting in OneFS 9.9.0.0, to allow your cluster to enter maintenance mode automatically when certain maintenance tasks are detected. Tasks such as simultaneous upgrades, patch installation, rolling reboots, and hardware replacement.
This feature can be disabled which allows administrators to manually start and end maintenance windows. Manual maintenance windows are limited to 199 hours to avoid indefinite maintenance windows.
Using the command-line interface, you can manage maintenance mode settings, view maintenance mode status, and view the history of maintenance windows.
