Upgrade OpenSSL

Find out if you need to upgrade the OpenSSL component on a running InsightIQ 4.1.3.x or InsightIQ 4.1.4.x system to address the security vulnerability: CVE-2021-3712.

To learn about the security vulnerabilities addressed in the latest updates, see https://www.openssl.org/news/vulnerabilities.html.

  1. On the InsightIQ host, from a command line, check the version of OpenSSL on your system. 
    openssl version

    The version is shown. For example: 

    OpenSSL 1.0.2k-19  26 Jan 2017

    If the version is 1.1.1l or later, you can skip the rest of this section. Example: 

    OpenSSL 1.1.1l  24 Aug 2021
