Physical machine requirements

When you install InsightIQ on a physical machine, verify that the environment meets these requirements.

Hardware requirements

You can install InsightIQ on a Linux system that meets the following hardware specifications:

  • x86_64 instruction set (Intel 64 or AMD 64)

  • 8 GB RAM

  • 5 GB free disk space on the operating system (OS) partition

  • 70 GB free disk space on either the local computer or an NFS datastore

Operating system requirements

Install InsightIQ on CentOS 7.8 or RHEL 7.8.

InsightIQ is compatible with any installation packages for these operating systems, including the minimal installation packages.

To verify the current version of CentOS, run the following command: 

cat /etc/*release*

The operating system reports the currently installed version.
