Uninstall InsightIQ

Uninstalling InsightIQ does not delete InsightIQ data, user settings, live performance reports, generated live performance reports, performance report schedules, or file system reports. If you do not delete the data, it remains available for reinstall.

1. On the Linux or virtual machine, uninstall InsightIQ by running the following command:

   sudo yum erase isilon-insightiq

2. Optional: Optional: Delete the /var/cache/insightiq folder.

   This step deletes all InsightIQ user settings, live performance reports, generated live performance reports, performance report schedules, and file system reports.

3. Delete the InsightIQ datastore from the Linux system, virtual machine, or NFS system.

   The path of the local datastore is /datastore on the InsightIQ virtual machine.

4. To remove FSA reports from a monitored cluster, delete the contents of the /ifs/.ifsvar/modules/fsa directory on the cluster.
   NOTE: Deleting the contents of the FSA directory deletes all FSA reports stored on the monitored cluster. Confirm that these reports are not in use by another instance of InsightIQ, and won't be used again in the future.
