Exported Datastore Upgrade
Exported datastore upgrades are slower than in-place upgrades.
Pre-requisites:
- In-place upgrade is available for your upgrade path.
NOTE: InsightIQ 4.1.x and earlier versions must perform an in-place upgrade to InsightIQ 4.2.x before performing an in-place upgrade to InsightIQ 4.3.x. or later.
- Upgrade your RHEL or CentOS operating system to the latest supported version.
NOTE: It is recommended that you upgrade
InsightIQ when cluster activity is typically low.
NOTE: During the upgrade process,
InsightIQ is unable to collect data from monitored clusters.
To perform an exported datastore upgrade, perform the following steps:

Export your
InsightIQ datastore to a location that is not on the
InsightIQ host system.
NOTE: For more information about importing and exporting InsightIQ datastores, see the InsightIQ Administrator Guide.NOTE: Confirm that the datastore export is working properly by importing the datastore and note if InsightIQ displays any errors.
- Download the InsightIQ installation file in your preferred format (.ova, .sh, or .zip) and transfer it to an accessible location.

Install
InsightIQ using the installation file.
For more information about installation, see the Install chapter for your preferred file format (.ova, .sh, or .zip).
- Review InsightIQ settings, LDAP, LDAP groups, local users, and user-based reports, and update them if necessary.

Import the
InsightIQ datastore.
