Move a datastore

Prerequisites

NOTE: It is recommended that you back up the datastore before moving InsightIQ. Back up the datastore by exporting the datastore

About this task

To move an InsightIQ datastore, follow these steps:

Steps

  1. In the InsightIQ web application, click the Settings tab and then click Datastore.
  2. Specify the datastore location.
    • To migrate data to a local datastore, click Local Datastore and then select the location for the export data.
    • To migrate data to an NFS datastore, click NFS Mounted Datastore, and then specify the address of the NFS server and select the location for the export data.
    NOTE: Verify that the new datastore location meets the requirements for an NFS server.
  3. Click OK.
    NOTE: During datastore movement, datastore configuration sizes are shown as NA. The correct values populate once the move is complete.
