Configure Email Notifications

To send reports and InsightIQ status alerts by email, configure InsightIQ to use an email server.

Steps

  1. In the InsightIQ web application, click the Settings tab and then Email on the Settings ribbon.
    The Configure Email Settings (SMTP) view appears.
  2. In the SMTP server field, enter the hostname or IP address of the SMTP email server.
  3. In the SMTP port field, enter the port that is used to connect to the SMTP email server.
  4. Optional: If the SMTP email server that you specified requires a username and password for authentication, enter that information in the Username and Password fields.
  5. Optional: If the SMTP email server you specified accepts email only from valid email addresses, type a valid email address in the From Email field.
  6. Optional: If either the Transport Layer Security (TLS) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol is required to connect to the SMTP email server, select the TLS Connection checkbox.
  7. Click Submit.
