Removing battery - optional

CAUTION Removing the battery resets the BIOS setup program's settings to default. It is recommended that you note the BIOS setup program's settings before removing the battery.
  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. microSD card
    2. base cover
  3. To remove the battery:
    1. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [1,2].
    2. Remove the M2.0x3.0 screws that secure the battery to the computer [3].
    3. Lift the battery away from the computer [4].
