Procedure

NOTE Applicable only for computers with liquid cooling assembly configuration.
  1. Lay the computer on the left side and disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
  2. Disconnect the processor-cooling assembly cable from the system board.
  3. In the reverse sequential order (as indicated on the processor-cooling assembly), loosen the four captive screws that secure the processor-cooling assembly to the system board.
  4. Remove the screw (6-32UNCx3.6) that secures the fan to the chassis.

  5. Lift and release the fan from the chassis.
  6. Lift the processor-cooling assembly along with the fan off the system board.
