Installing the 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

The following section provides steps for installing the 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly.

NOTE:You can install a total of 2 2.5-inch hard-drives onto the hard-drive cage.

Align the screw holes on the 2.5-inch hard-drive to the slots on the cage.
Insert the 2.5-inch hard-drive into the cage.
Replace the two (M3) screws that secure the 2.5-inch hard-drive to the cage.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 to install the second 2.5-inch hard-drive to its cage.
Locate the cavity on the chassis where the 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly is to be inserted.
Turn over the 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly vertically and align the hooks on the cage to the cavities on the chassis.
Pinch the top sides of the cage and insert the cage into the cavities on the chassis.
Connect the SATA cable and SATA power cable to its connectors on the hard-drive(s).
Route the SATA cable and SATA power cable through the routing guides on the chassis.
