Procedure

  1. Disconnect the power and data cable from the optical drive.
  2. Remove the screw that secures the optical-drive assembly to the display-assembly base.
  3. Slide the optical-drive assembly out of the optical-drive bay.

  4. Carefully pull the optical-drive bezel and remove it from the optical drive.
  5. Remove the screw that secures the optical-drive bracket to the optical drive.
  6. Remove the optical-drive bracket from the optical drive.
