  1. Note the optical drive and hard drive cables' routing and remove the cables from its routing guides on the display-assembly base.

  2. Remove the screws that secure the display-assembly base to the display bezel.

  3. Release the display-panel base from the tabs on the display bezel.
  4. Slide the display cable through the slot on the display-assembly base.
  5. Lift the display-assembly base off the display panel.
