Procedure

  1. Disconnect the speaker, touch-control board, hard-drive cable, optical-drive cable, hard-drive and optical-drive power, fan, and microphone and camera cables from its connectors on the system board.
  2. Lift the latches and disconnect the control-buttons board and display cables from its connectors on the system board.
  3. Press the latch and disconnect the display-backlight cable from its connector on the system board.

  4. Remove the screws that secure the system board to the display-assembly base.
  5. Carefully lift the system board from the inner edge and release the ports from the slots on the display-assembly base.
  6. Lift the system board off the display-assembly base.
