Procedure

  1. Align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Replace the screws that secure the system board to the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Align the screw holes on the I/O bracket with the screw holes on the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
  4. Replace the screws that secure the I/O bracket to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
  5. Align the screw holes on the graphics daughter-board brackets with the screw holes on the graphics daughter-board and the system board.
  6. Replace the screws that secure the graphics daughter-board brackets to the graphics daughter-board and the system board.
  7. Slide the I/O-board cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
  8. Adhere the tape that secures the I/O-board cable to the system board.
  9. Connect the hard-drive cable and fan cable to the system board.
  10. Slide the keyboard cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
  11. Connect the power-adapter port cable and the speaker cable to the system board.
  12. Slide the display cable and the touch-screen board cable into their respective connectors on the system board and close the latches to secure the cables.
  13. Adhere the tapes that secure the display cable and touch-screen board cable to their respective connectors on the system board.
