Procedure

Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible.
Lift the connector latches and disconnect the power-button board cable and the touchpad cable from the system board.

Close the display and turn the computer over.
Lift the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
Remove the screw that secures the system board to the palm-rest assembly.
Peel the I/O board cable off the palm-rest assembly.

Carefully lift the system board from the inner edge to release the system board from the system-board connector on the palm-rest assembly.
Turn the system board over.

Disconnect the power-adapter port cable from the system board.
Lift the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the system board.

Lift the system board off the computer base.
