Procedure

  1. Using the flat side of the plastic scribe, pry up the display bezel and remove it from the display back-cover and antenna assembly. Image: Removing the display bezel
  2. Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the display panel to the display back-cover and antenna assembly.
  3. Using a plastic scribe, flip out the pull tab of the SR tape from both sides of the display panel.
  4. Pull out a small section of the SR tape and roll it around the plastic scribe. Repeat the process until the SR tape is fully released.
  5. Remove the display cable and touchscreen-board cable from the routing guides on the display hinges.Image: Pulling out the SR tape
  6. Lift the display panel off the display back-cover and antenna assembly.Image: Removing the display panel
  7. Remove the camera.
  8. Remove the display cable.
  9. After performing all the above procedures, we are left with the display panel.Image: Display panel
