Procedure

  1. Using the pull tab, disconnect the I/O-board cable from the system board.
  2. Peel off the tape and remove the I/O-board cable from the routing guides on the fan.

  3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the fan to the computer base.
  5. Lift the fan along with its cable off the computer base.
