Procedure

  1. Disconnect the display cable from the system board.
  2. Note the display-cable routing and remove the display cable from the routing guides on the fan.

  3. Lift the mylar tape and disconnect the processor-fan cable from the system board.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the processor fan to the system board.
  5. Lift the processor fan off the system board.
