Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the memory modules.
4. Remove the coin-cell battery.
5. Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane memory module.
6. Remove the hard drive.
7. Remove the fan.
8. Remove the I/O board.
9. Remove the speakers.
10. Remove the power-adapter port.
11. Remove the wireless card.
12. Remove the display assembly.
13. Remove the system board.
    NOTE The system board can be removed and installed together with the heat sink attached, when replacing the palm-rest assembly.
14. Remove the touchpad.
