Procedure
About this task
CAUTION Disconnecting the I/O board resets the BIOS setup program’s settings
to default. Before disconnecting the I/O board, it is recommended
to note the BIOS setup program’s settings.
Steps
- Remove the three screws (M2.5x5) that secure the left hinge to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the left hinge.
- Open the latches and disconnect the I/O-board cables from the system board.
- Peel the I/O-board cables from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the I/O board, along with the cable, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
