Procedure

  1. Turn the computer over and open the display.
  2. Disconnect the power-button board cable from the system board.
  3. Slide the power-button board cable out through the slot on the palm-rest assembly.

  4. Close the display and turn the computer over.
  5. Remove the screw that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
  6. Peel off the tape from the power-button board.
  7. Lift the power-button board at an angle along with the cable off the palm-rest assembly.
