Removing the memory module

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the secure digital card.
  3. Remove the base cover.

Steps

  1. Using a plastic scribe, carefully pry the memory-module retention clips, securing the memory module to its slot, until the memory module pops-up.
  2. Lift at an angle and remove the memory module from the memory-module slot on the system board.
