Removing the 3-cell battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD card.
- Remove the base cover.

Steps
- Disconnect the battery cable from the system board, if applicable.
- Remove the three (M2x3) screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Remove the battery from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
