Removing the camera

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Remove the wireless card.
  4. Remove the display assembly.
  5. Remove the display bezel.
  6. Remove the display panel.

Steps

  1. Using the pull tab, disconnect the camera cable from the camera.
  2. Using a plastic scribe, pry the camera from the display assembly.
  3. Lift the camera off the display assembly.
