Removing the speakers

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Remove the wireless card.

About this task

NOTE:The antenna cable of Wireless Local Area Network and speaker cable are combined as an assembly.

Steps

  1. Peel the tape that secure the speaker and antenna cables to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
  2. Disconnect the speaker cable from the connector on the system board.
  3. Remove the speaker and antenna cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
  4. Lift the speakers along with the cables, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
