Procedure

  1. Open the latch, and disconnect the power-button board cable from the system board.
  2. Remove the screw (M2.5x8) that secures the display hinge to the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Lift the display hinge.
  4. Remove the screw (M2x2) that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
  5. Peel the tape that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
  6. Release the power-button board from the tab, and lift it along with the cable off the palm-rest assembly. Image: Removing the power-button board
