Procedure

  1. Using a plastic scribe, gently release the tabs that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Slide the keyboard up to release it from the slots on the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Turn the keyboard over, and place it on the palm-rest assembly. Image: Lifting the keyboard off the palm-rest assembly
  4. Open the latch, and disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board.
