Installing the display assembly
Prerequisites
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the display assembly and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Angle the display assembly under the hinges and place the display assembly on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Using the alignment posts, close the left-display hinge aligning the screw holes on the left-display hinge to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Using the alignment posts, close the right-display hinge aligning the screw holes on the right-display hinge to the system board.
- Replace the two (M2.5x5) screws that secure the left-display hinge to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Replace the two (M2.5x5) screws that secure the right-display hinge to the system board.
- Route the display cable through the routing guide on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Slide the display cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch.
- Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
