Inspiron 13 5000 2-in-1 Service Manual

Procedure

1. Peel off the tape that secures the hard-drive cable to the palm-rest assembly.
2. Using the pull tab, disconnect the hard-drive cable from the system board.
3. Remove the two screws (M2x3.5) that secure the hard-drive assembly to the palm-rest assembly.
4. Lift the hard-drive assembly, along with its cable, off the palm-rest assembly.

5. Disconnect the interposer from the hard-drive assembly.

6. Remove the four screws (M3x3) that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.
7. Lift the hard-drive bracket off the hard drive.
