iDRAC Group Firmware Update

For iDRAC group firmware update, from the DUP file from a local directory, perform the following steps:

  1. Access the group manager console essential view and click Update iDRAC Firmware under summary view.
  2. From the firmware update dialog box displayed, browse and select the local iDRAC DUP file to be installed. Click Upload. The file is uploaded to iDRAC and verified for integrity.
  3. Confirm the firmware update. The Group iDRAC firmware update job is scheduled to run immediately. If the Group Manager has other group jobs running, then it is performed after the previous job is completed.
  4. Track the iDRAC update job progress from the group jobs view.
NOTE:This feature is supported on only iDRAC version 3.50.50.50 and later.
NOTE: Avoid rebooting, shutting down, or power cycling the host or iDRAC during ongoing updates or tasks. The system (host and iDRAC) must be rebooted or shutdown gracefully when no tasks or jobs are running in iDRAC or host. Ungraceful shutdown or interrupting an operation can cause unpredictable results such as firmware corruption, core file generation, RSODs, YSODs, error events in LCL, and so on.
