Monitoring and alerting

  • 248800: SUP0555 error that is falsely recorded in Lifecycle Log indicating BIOS Update job failed due to low iDRAC memory. Added additional logic to check for BIOS update success.
  • 255052: PowerEdge R450 Health Critical Rollup is invoked when server is powered off. This lead to the overall health of server turning critical and blinking amber LED on front panel of server. Updated the thermal tables to correct the standby fan settings.
  • 256490: Incorrect thermal calculations due to presence of BOSS-N1 controller in the 16th Generation (16G) PowerEdge servers causes the Fans PWM to run higher than expected range.
  • 253595/250881: SWC5011 error is logged in Lifecycle logs while performing a CPLD update as BIOS RoT gets bypassed during the reboot triggered by the update.
  • 252955: System Fan information refreshing intermittently: This issue is observed in the iDRAC Cooling page where the information about the fans is being continuously updated and the status of fans 7 to 9 is displayed as Unknown.
  • 247091: System inlet temperature lower than warning threshold: A warning is displayed in Lifecycle logs or SEL stating that The system inlet temperature is less than the lower warning threshold during cold boot with iDRAC.
