iDRAC9 Version 6.00.19.00 Release Notes

PDF

Authentication

  1. Ensure that you use digest authentication for HTTP/HTTPs share for all iDRAC and LC features, basic authentication is no longer supported and is blocked by iDRAC due to security risks.
  2. If an Active Directory user is configured for SSO with RSA token authentication, then the RSA token is bypassed and user can log in directly. This is because RSA is not applicable for AD-SSO, Active Directory smart card, and local user smart card logins.
  3. iDRAC firmware version 6.1x or later includes a user-selectable encryption option for Active Directory and LDAP secure connections where StartTLS protocol is a supported option. To select StartTLS option for Active Directory and LDAP connections, run the following RACADM commands:
    racadm set iDRAC.ActiveDirectory.Connection StartTLS

    racadm set iDRAC.LDAP.Connection StartTLS

LDAPS remains the default value for Active Directory and LDAP connections.
