Generating a support bundle
When troubleshooting problems, Dell Support may ask you to generate a support bundle. A support bundle is a tar-g-zipped selection of log files and a README file that includes identifying autosupport headers.
Manual
- Click the Settings button (the gear icon) in the upper right side DDMC banner, and then select Support Bundles.
- Click Generate Support Bundles.
- When you see the new .tar.gz file, email it to Dell Support. If it is too large to be emailed, go to the Dell EMC support site, and upload it.
NOTE There is also an option to generate Support and Core bundles for data centers that have Smart Scale services deployed.
