Removing the touchpad
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.

Steps
- Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
- Remove the three (M2x2) screws that secure the touchpad bracket to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the touchpad bracket off the touchpad.
- Remove the four (M2x2) screws that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the touchpad off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
