Reregister the agent after a PowerProtect Data Manager server hostname or IP address change

Perform the following steps to reregister the agent.

About this task

Only reregister the agent if one of the following statements is true:

  • The agent was registered using the PowerProtect Data Manager server FQDN and the PowerProtect Data Manager server hostname was changed.
  • The agent was registered using the PowerProtect Data Manager server IP address and the PowerProtect Data Manager server IP address was changed.

Steps

  1. Unregister the agent by running unregister.sh from the dpsapps/agentsvc directory.
  2. Reregister the agent by running register.sh from the dpsapps/agentsvc directory.
