PowerProtect Data Manager 19.16 Oracle RMAN User Guide

Remove an undetected asset from PowerProtect Data Manager

In the following cases, the status of a database asset is updated as Not Detected in the PowerProtect Data Manager UI:

  • You performed a disaster recovery of the database with a DBID change on the same host.
  • You uninstalled the discovered database from the host.

In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, perform the following steps to remove the undetected asset entries from PowerProtect Data Manager:

  1. Select Infrastructure > Assets > Oracle.
  2. Select the Oracle asset with the Not Detected status.
  3. Select More Actions > Remove Asset.

A prompt appears, asking whether to remove the asset and delete the copies or remove the asset and keep the copies.

If no copies are associated with the undetected asset, then the asset is not removed. Otherwise, before you try to remove the undetected asset through this procedure, wait for the associated copies to expire or manually delete the associated copies.
