PowerProtect Data Manager 19.16 Kubernetes User Guide
vSphere CSI backups might fail when the File System agent is used as the data mover
Using the File System agent as the data mover can cause vSphere CSI backups to fail.
vSphere CSI backups might fail with the following error message:
Unable to create snapshot … : Failed to check and update snapshot content.
The backup fails because a CSI snapshot is not created. The VMware DCPN for this issue is 00117330.
To resolve this issue, either set k8s.ppdm.vspherecsi.use.fsagent to false or do not set this parameter to use the default VDDK as the data mover.
