Modify the network settings

Perform the following steps if you want to change the hostname or IP address of the PowerProtect Data Manager server, or modify other network settings such as the subnet mask, gateway, or DNS servers.

CAUTION:Changing the hostname or IP address of the PowerProtect Data Manager server can require further actions to ensure the continued operation of external components. For more information, see Changing the hostname or IP address.

Steps

  1. From the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, click Settings icon, and then click Default Network.
  2. Update the following fields as necessary:
    • Hostname
    • Primary DNS
    • Secondary DNS
  3. In the Configuration Details pane, click Edit, and then update the following fields for the IP address as necessary:
    • IP Address
    • Subnet Mask
    • Gateway
  4. Click Save.
