Migrate the SAP HANA agent to a different PowerProtect Data Manager server

To migrate the SAP HANA agent to a different PowerProtect Data Manager server, you must delete the asset source from the original PowerProtect Data Manager server, delete specific files, and register the SAP HANA agent with the different PowerProtect Data Manager server.

Perform the following steps to migrate the SAP HANA agent to a different PowerProtect Data Manager server.

Steps

  1. Delete the asset source of the SAP HANA agent from the original PowerProtect Data Manager server. Delete an asset source provides more information.
  2. Delete the directory /opt/dpsapps/agentsvc/ssl and its files on the SAP HANA agent host.
  3. Register the SAP HANA agent with the different PowerProtect Data Manager server by running the ppdmHanaInstall.sh script.
  4. Verify that the SAP HANA instance operates without any issues. You can validate the SAP HANA operation by logging into hdbsql with SYSTEM credentials and running self-service backups from the SAP HANA CLI and SAP HANA Studio.
